The Manifesting Community website is re-launching after a near 5-year hiatus! Lots of news in this newsletter. You are on this list as you previously signed-up to the website or because I added you manually as a community-building partner of mine.
In brief:
- I have spent the last year in Mexico attempting to build an Authentic Relating intentional community there, which brought me some of the most spectacular successes and failures of my entire life. The short story there (learnings and takeaways) is told on my new substack in the article Trauma is good for you: Authentic Relating and “karma acceleration”. - I have found a community near Brattleboro VT which lights me up, at least on paper. I may be moving there in January 2025, subject to further conversations. It’s called Earthseeds Eco-Village. I am curently in Austin TX on my way to Philadelphia, where I will be for a bit.
- I am planning on attending the Twin Oaks Communities Conference, happening over labor day weekend 2024, along with with its follow-up conference called Convergence of Intentional Communities (or CIC). Join me there? I am applying for a presenter spot, I hope to run an AR game of some kind there
- I have partnerships/sponsorships from both the Global Eco-Village Network and Federation of Intentional Communities, to host and/or market two of our courses called Authentic Relating in Community (led by my partner Jason Digges) and Practical Relational Leadership in Community (led by me). Those links are for the June/July cohorts which are currently completing. We intend to run at least two more cohorts starting mid-September, after the Twin Oaks conference.
- I may be spending October through December doing a work-study in British Columbia at an ashram called Yosadhara. After 18 months of non-stop action and a fair share of trauma, I am ready for a quieter, more contemplative life lived in community for a while. Wish me luck!
