First: a query to my Boston friends: I am going to the Boston Women’s March this Saturday Jan. 21, 11am-3pm, and may need a place to stay (depending on whether I have to take the bus or not). At minimum, let me know if you are going so we can hook-up!
Second: My friends Tom and Adael are leading a Shalom Retreat at Shalom Mountain (Catskill, New York) on February 16-19. Shalom Mountain was my primary healing / developmental community for 20 years, and although it has now been replaced by Circling (partly because I am no longer in the area) but they are still very close to my heart, and Tom and Adael are simply awesome. To note as well that Shalom offers deep discounts to folks in need, and especially newcomers. If you have never done a Shalom retreat, you may be in for a fabulous experience.
Third: Too much going on here for an extended check-in — I am still in “the thick of the action” — but I will say two things. First I am happier than I have been in 30 years. What I had felt initially as a kind of defeat (“56 years old and living with my mother”) has turned into one of the most glorious experiences of my life. (and by the way I have spoken to a lot of other people in my situation. Almost invariably they say: “it was great to live with my mother!”. Go figure, the stories we tell ourselves, yes?)
Anyway: my work is progressing on all front, new product development on my business, my own leadership development as a community-builder, and my writing. If you want to find out more on the writing, click the image below. I am running a number of leadership development groups as well that have been really successful and enjoyable, so if you are interested in this reply to me or check out the new draft book.
